<p>Health should be a major concern for every segment of the population, but baby boomers are especially concerned about retirement. This is the generation that is caring for both young children and elderly parents, and this can cause more stress and strain on the body, so <a href="http://retirementboomerstyle.com" target="_self">retirement health</a> is of special concern in this day and age. Lycopene can be found in foods like tomatoes and watermelon, so eating these fruits fresh a few times a week can make a big difference when it comes to preventative health.</p>
<p>There are also a number of vitamins and supplements that will contribute to baby boomers health. A good multi-vitamin is essential, and there are number of brands, such as Centrum and brands from GNC that offer vitamins that are formulated especially for men or women. Taking one of these vitamins each morning with breakfast will help to give the body the right amount of nutrients for the day. And, since the vitamins are to be taken with a meal, breakfast shouldn&#8217;t be skipped. This the meal that will get the metabolism going for the day, so eating things like whole grains, eggs (for protein) and fresh fruit are ideal.</p>
<p>An exercise plan that includes some type of cardiovascular activity three times a week is also an essential part of baby boomers health. Even if joining a local gym is not a feasible option, walking in the neighborhood in the morning or evenings is a great way to manage weight and to prevent certain conditions like diabetes or high blood pressure.</p>
