As a baby boomer readying for retirement, I had a lot of questions as to how to prepare for retirement. I am sure that I am not alone as part of the baby boomer generation that does not really have a retirement plan set up for when that time comes.
My husband and myself have talked for years as to what we would do in retirement, but the reality of being a baby boomer in retirement we always thought we would have time. Now is our time and now we are not prepared with a retirement plan set up. Where did the years go?
We have however just bought our retirement home. Since housing has taken a dive during these times, we have been able to pick up a foreclosed home to live out ours retirement years with low payments. We figured that retirement housing was going to be at a premium for baby boomers looking for their retirement home. Our payments now are less than any retirement community around.
Hopefully as I find different ideas concerning baby boomers retirement I can use this platform to bring the most current information available for other boomers looking for a retirement plan to set up before they retire.
